About Tabitha Johnson
Welcome to Hope To Healing Counseling, my name is Tabitha Johnson. I started this Private Practice after nearly a decade of working alongside people in vulnerable situations. I received my Master of Clinical Social Worker at the University of Illinois. I am currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Oklahoma and Illinois. I worked for several years as a foster care therapist, child abuse and trauma therapist, school-based therapist, and family therapist. In the middle, I moved to India for some time to work with an anti human-trafficking organization to free, empower, and support victims of human trafficking. Through my years of experience, I have been blessed to be a part of so many individual and family journeys through transformation and healing. I would be honored to be a part of yours.
Finding a therapist can be difficult and possibly overwhelming. I hope to ease any anxiety or nerves throughout your counseling experience. I believe in coming alongside another person through their journey with compassion and understanding. I use a variety of therapy methods including Trauma-Centered Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Family Systems, Play Therapy, Theraplay, and client-centered approach. I specialize in trauma based therapy with children, adolescents, and adults as well as attachment, foster care, and adoption issues.
